In April 23’, Laura Ludwig, from the Center of Coastal studies, organized an effort to collect and dispose debris that had accumulated on a small island off southern Massachusetts called Cuttyhunk. Twenty Cornell University students, four artists, and a volunteer cook all joined Laura for six days on the island. During this time, the group worked to remove over 8 tons of debris from the island. The debris was carefully sorted and counted. These drawings on paper bags showcase the story of Cuttyhunk through numbers.
